Height: 5'5"
Weight: 120
Eye Color: Brown
Hair: Flaming Red
Body Build: Stocky
Appearance: Ginny stands at about 5'5" tall and weighs around 120 pounds. She has the stockier Weasley build, like her brothers Fred and George. She has flaming red hair that falls just below her shoulders. Her hair is usually pulled back into a ponytail or some other hair-do that requires little time and effort. She has bright brown eyes and pretty much her whole body is covered in freckles, though its harder to tell when she has a good tan. She is quite tom-boyish, probably because she has 6 brothers and no sisters. It is often said that when Ginny's jaw is set, her resemblance to Fred and George is striking.
There are some advantages to having no sisters however, and that is that unlike her brothers Ginny is never seen in hand-me-downs. Sure, her robes are often second hand and might not be in the best condition, but at least she got to pick them out. When she isn't in her Hogwarts uniform she's usually wearing muggle jeans and a t-shirt. She has never been big on make-up, mostly because she's never had anyone to show her how to do it, but occasionally she'll put on some lip gloss and mascara. While her boyish clothes and lack of make-up may make you think that Ginny is an unattractive girl, that is simply not true. She has a lot of natural beauty, and it can be seen through her boyish attire.

History: Ginevra Molly Weasley was born as the seventh read headed child to Arthur and Molly Weasley on August 11, 1981. Her birth was a joyous event, not only because all children were celebrated in their family, but because she was the first girl born into the Weasley family in several generations. She was of course spoiled and doted on by both her parents and brothers; Well, as much as their budget would allow them to anyway... having 7 children was expensive. Overall Ginny enjoyed her childhood, though it seemed like every year she was left with less and less brothers to play with during the school year, they grew close to each other none the less. They were hers, she loved them and they loved her, and they protected her from all the evil in the world... especially Charlie.
One by one her brothers left the house, for school and jobs and other such things. By the time Ginny got to go to Hogwarts Bill and Charlie had already graduated and moved out. But Ginny didn't plan on letting that ruin her first year at Hogwarts... she had waited for it for so long. But Ginny's first year didn't turn out quite as expected. She was possessed by Lord Voldemort through her beloved diary and was saved by her own fairytale hero... Harry Potter. She'd always had a crush on Harry, since the first time she met him, but after he saved her life it was more than a crush, it was love. She didn't care who thought it was childish, she knew it was real.
While Ginny's second year wasn't nearly as eventful as her first, it was far from calm. The "mass murderer" Sirius Black escaped from Azkaban, and she thought that he was after her love, Harry. Ginny spent a lot of that year worrying, but Harry survived and so did everyone else that she loved. By her third year Ginny was beginning to think that life at Hogwarts would never be dull, and she was quite right. The Triwizard Tournament was hosted at Hogwarts during her third year, and somehow Harry was chosen as a fourth champion. She spent yet another year worrying about Harry, but once again he pulled through it. The real worry came at the end of the year, when Harry announced that Lord Voldemort had returned. Nothing was ever the same after that.
In the summer before fourth year the Order of the Phoenix began , and Ginny was excited to find out that she and her family would be staying at Headquarters, right where everything was happening. However, she was disappointed to find out that the only way she'd get to help the Order was by cleaning the Headquarters.. yuck. Ginny could see the worry on every adults face that summer, but it still seemed almost unreal to her that Lord Voldemort was out there, and gaining more power with every passing minute. Everything seemed the same to Ginny until she arrived and found that the ministry was trying to take over Hogwarts. Nothing functioned properly that year, and the new DADA teacher was far from qualified. And then there was a mass death eater escape from Azkaban, and it became painfully clear to Ginny that Voldemort was out there, and he was working fast.
Thats when Harry started up 'Dumbledore's Army, or the DA, and Ginny felt like she was really making a difference. Harry, Ron, and Hermione were always fighting off Voldemort by themselves, but for once Ginny felt like she was a part of what they were doing. What they did in the DA turned out to be very useful when at the end of the year Ginny, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Neville, and Luna went to the Department of Mysteries to save Sirius, whom they thought was being tortured there. It turned out the be a trap, and they were met there by a group of Death Eaters. It turned out to be the first full fledged battle since Voldemort returned. Although it was some what victorious, ending in the revealing of several death eaters; the Order also suffered a major loss, for Sirius had fallen behind a mysterious curtain and was pronounced dead. Ginny had to watch the pain that Harry was going through without being able to truly show him how much she cared.
Ginny is now starting her fifth year.. maybe for once it will be semi-normal.
Personality: Ginny is very determined, and when she sets her mind to something you'll be hard pressed to change it. When she was younger her brothers wouldn't let her play quidditch with them, so she broke into the broom shed and practiced on their brooms when they weren't looking. Ginny could also be described as very feisty. She is the only one who isn't afraid to tell Harry when he's being an arse, and she's more than happy to give him a reality check when he needs one. Ginny is also very stubborn. She refuses to be left behind or overlooked, especially now that she is older. She hates it when her older brothers coddle her or talk down to her.
Ginny also happens to be a very good liar, though whether thats a good thing or not is debatable. She had no trouble at all convincing her mother that Crookshanks had made the mess with the dung bombs, and everybody seemed to believe her garroting gas diversion as well. She's never tested her lying skills on a large scale, however, and it's doubtful that she ever will. Ginny is not somebody to mess with, as her hexes are rather powerful, especially her bat bogey hex. Even Fred and George admit that they wouldn't want to be on the wrong end of her wand.
