Character[/size]
History: Born the only child of the already well established Nott family, Theodore grew up on the higher end of society. With this being the case, he's always enjoyed the frills that come attached with a family name- and with being that families heir. Theo's never had to work, but starting at a young age, he grew to enjoy the family horses, and spent as much time in the stables as he could. Of course, that could have been to avoid his father as well. As a boy, Theo both idolized and hated his father. The fact that he was a part of Dark Army, the head of the Nott house featured himself as a God to those he considered his subordinates; and while he loves his heir dearly, Theo has always been considered in the same group. How else was he to learn his proper place and behavior in society? Mr. Nott is a true manipulator as many in his family before him.
Upon turning age eleven, Theo received his letter to Hogwarts which he was more than happy to attend. While when he was younger, he'd been dragged to some of the Dark Wizard get togethers and met a few of the other children- it wasn't until he came to Hogwarts that he actually got to know some of them. Upon his acceptance and entrance into the school, Theo was sorted into Slytherin house along with several of the other children whom he had met through his father and his 'friends'. In his time at school, Theodore has proven himself to be rather similar to his father in the manipulating sense and his dry wit; though he hopes that he never becomes as hard hearted as he sees his dad. Theo's very motivated when it comes to his classes, and he studies quite a bit. Regardless of that bookish tendency, he has always enjoyed a good party; and he's found that those involved with those things 'darker' in the wizarding world throw good ones.
It was in his fourth year, during the Tri-Wizard tournament - well, technically at the end of it that the rumors started. A student was killed, and it was said that Lord Voldemort had been the one who had caused it. That he had returned to power.
A most curious turn of events to end the school year.
In his fifth year, other interesting situations came about. The emergence of two groups. Dumbledork's army as well as the Dark Vipers- Is it hard to tell which side he threw his support behind? His father would skin him alive if he'd have even considered aligning with Dumbledore's followers. Where he had tried to keep from taking sides earlier in his school career, it was time to make a choice, and he did. The Black Vipers. In the year since the two groups have come about, there have been several skirmishes between them; especially between their 'leaders'.
Personality: The face that Theo generally shows to the general public is a perfect picture of calm. He's very laid back and will usually put out the effort to be at least semi-funny. He doesn't go out of his way to make friends, but prefers not to completely alienate someone until he's decided if they're useful. He's very polite; it was something that his mother instilled in him. Not matter what, you must be polite. For some reason, he can't quite move past it.
There's another part to the boy though, Theo's grown to the point that he's starting to hate his father; and he isn't sure he likes the person that he's turning into. Where as he's always been a charming young man, he's starting to use it to manipulate things in his favor. Making promises he may or may not keep; bringing allies into the Viper's way of thinking and still considering them as expendable.
As bad as he may sound, Theo isn't truly as black hearted as he may seem. For instance, he's incredibly loyal to those who do prove themselves as friends. Those people, regardless of what their beliefs are- or what their blood line is- are like gold to Theo. He'd go to the end of the Earth and back for them. He's aware that it will likely bring issues and difficult decisions in the future, but he can't help himself. True friends are hard to find. He's also pretty laid back, which he suspects is partially what draws people to him. He's not as arrogant as some of his housemates- He's not as one track minded about the purity or impurity of blood.
He isn't as much of a follower as one might suspect- He will follow someone elses lead, but not with blind alleigance. He needs to know what he's getting himself into; and he's smart enough to weigh the results of his actions.
Character Flaws: While Theo does come across as confident, he's not as secure with himself as he seems- as stated before, he's not sure he likes who he's becoming; but he's not sure if he's strong enough to change it. Or completely sure that he wants to. Theo also has a tendency to over think on things; trying to figure out all possible conclusions-- and he occasionally misses the more obvious answers. Also, laid back as he is, if pushed too far, he does have a rather nasty temper. Fortunately, once he has said his piece he's alright again.

As my character Seth on DS.
It was unseasonably warm today, the sun was beating down upon Hogwarts- and there were a lot of students outside because of it. Several groups of friends were scattered through out grounds, laughing, joking, and playing games. Seth sat alone under a tree with a book laid open on his lap. Though for it sitting there, he for once wasn't paying attention to it. Instead, his eyes wandered over the grounds watching the people have fun. A half smile pulled at his features as he watched a group of first year Hufflepuffs come racing towards him in a high intensity game of tag. They circled around his tree; and he couldn't help but chuckle- He remembered playing with his brother and some of the other neighborhood kids when he'd been just a little younger than these kids were.
A momentary sadness pricked at him. Sammy and he hadn't been the same since Seth had received his Hogwarts letter. Their parents had come up with an elaborate story about him being sent to a school for the 'gifted.' Sam had been the one who'd gotten the brunt of the questions though. Honestly Seth wasn't certain if it had been that fact; or the fact that he had been the one that had gotten the magical ability. While on far more than one occasion, Sammy had called him a freak for his 'gift', Seth thought he'd picked up on envy behind his words. Really though, Seth wasn't sure why. Sam had everything. He was ridiculously popular in school; he got decent enough grades; he was the star of the schools basketball team. What did he have to be jealous of?
He frowned, turning his attention to the book on his lap. 'What does it matter anyway?' Seth thought, annoyance slightly creasing his brow, 'Not like we can change any of it.' Seth would never admit it to Sam, but there had been times when he'd wished he'd gotten the life that his brother had. Staying with the family; being 'normal.' Not that he'd have gotten that opportunity even if he hadn't shown that he had the gift. Really though, what did it matter? Things were as they were, and even though he'd thought about the life that he could have had; he wouldn't change how things were. He was drawn out of his thoughts by footsteps coming closer to him. Glancing up from his book, Seth gave a true smile as one of his friends walked up, "What are you doing out here?" He asked, a teasing lilt to his german accent, "Thought you'd still be cooped up in the library."
