History:
Daphne Olivia Greengrass was born into a pureblood family of wealth and extravogence. However, the girl wasn't as spoiled as one may have thought. While she didn't turn away gifts from her parents, she didn't exactly run to them asking her to buy things, either. As a child she led a pretty normal life, well, as normal as the life of a pureblood could be. She was always the most proper of younger ladies and always listened to her parents, even if that short-changed her in the end. Because she was scared of getting in trouble as most young children were. As a young child she was exposed to other young purebloods, but didn't really make too many friends mainly because of her shy nature. So most of them seemed under the impression that she was stuck up and aloof, which she could be, at times.
As she grew older though, she became more mischevious and daring. When she was 11 she was accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She had to admit that she didn't have as much excitement as some of the people in her year. Her parents had basically taken all the fun of the sorting away, although, she had to admit that the castle was a rather impressive site and she rather liked it. Although, she could do without the filth that was surrounding her. It was all too obvious to her, at least, that she was going to have to put up with people that weren't worth 'anything' at least not in her mind. When the eleven year old was called to try the sorting hat on, she walked confidently to the table, head held poised as if she were some sort of actress. She tucked a strand of long blonde hair behind her ear as she sat down and the hat was placed on her head. The hat almost instantly declared that she should be in Slytherin. Taking the hat off, she flounced over to the Slytherin table, fortunately she didn't have to sit by the Bloody Baron. That speciality was reserved for Draco Malfoy.
Over the years she became somewhat closer to her fellow students. She was shy around most of the boys, not really knowing what to say to them without feeling like a complete and total idiot. However, she did grow somewhat closer to the girls. Her catty side got her in sometimes with the Slytherin Queen Bee Pansy, though, she was probably far too shy for the other girls tastes. She hung around those girls, however, simply because she fit in and why not hang around people who could lift your popularity? After all, the Slytherins weren't popular as a whole. They basically had to fight against their housemates for their popularity. She also hung around them because, well, Pansy was a pureblood and if she could tolerate hanging around the half-bloods of her house, well, then she could, too. She knew well enough not to challenge the clique leader, but if Pansy went first she went second. After all, they were the only purebloods of their little 'group'.
She wasn't too well-known with the Gryffindors and yet she didn't find herself the source and brunt of most of their less kind jokes. That seemed was only reserved for a few select females. While pretty much a teacher's pet and a rather quiet girl, one could possibly think she was a 'goody goody' but those people didn't know her all too well. They didn't see what she did to get revenge against other Slytherin girls that had annoyed her by talking to the guy she liked or by being rude to her. They didn't see the way she played pranks on her fellow house-mates for no reason other than she was bored and they were annoying her intensely.
In their fifth year she took her owls like any other fifth year. Unfortunately, she got called into their Charms exam at the same time as that filthy mudblood Granger. Disgusting. However, she didn't have much time to dwell on that, as it was an exam. For her owls she recieved an 'O' in Charms which was by far her best subject. She also recieved three E's and two A's. Although she recieved a 'P' in Divination. Not that she cared all too much, she had never liked the subject much to begin with. In her sixth year she studied hard for examinations off and on, as studying for too long tended to get on her nerves.
Over the years she's developed a crush on Blaise Zabini, but all these years she's been too shy to tell him or even act on this crush. However, being her last year at Hogwarts, she's deliberating that she might just come out of her bubble and tell him how she feels. She only hopes that he doesn't laugh in her face. That would break the fragile girls heart.
Personality:
Daphne is a mischevious girl. She doesn't quite care about any of the rules, disregarding them completely, because in her mind rules were made to be broken. She might act open and trusting but she isn't very trusting of people or situations that are foreign to her. She is an independent girl for the most part, but she's come to the realization that she'll never be able to escape her father and so he practically forced her to be a daddy's girl. She is as sarcastic as her mother and as bad-tempered as her father. To the few that get to call her friends she is loyal and sympathetic and often understanding. She is often known as the 'dear Abby' of her friends and is usually the mediator to settle their petty rifts.
However, to the rest of the world she is a bit distant and condescending. To enemies she's not only malicious but cruel in every single possible way. She can be patient or impatient depending on the severity of the situation and what the whole situation is about. She tends to judge people by first impressions. She flirts with guys that she's not even interested in, just because she's a lustful little vixen and a heart breaker. Though, if you break her heart, she's not bound to let anyone forget it. She likes to watch things twitch and jerk and has been known to watch people die with morbid fascination. She is ambitious, intelligent, and sly and is a very good actress. For instance, she shows her morbid curiousity to no one. For the most part, she hides her emotions from the world believing that this is the best policy in protecting herself. She has a lot of plans and goals for herself, she just needs some direction in her life.
To her family she's for the most part understanding and kind, though, she does have some rifts with them from time to time. After all, not everyone can have a perfect relationship with their family 100% of the time. She can be very vocal and outspoken and won't be afraid to give you a piece of her mind 'to choke on'. Although, it all depends on who she's talking to. At other times she can be timid and shy, and just hide behind her hair, letting the other Slytherin girls speak without challenging their statements.
She is intelligent, very much so, she just doesn't always apply herself in every subject because she feels that what does she owe the Wizarding World? However, no matter how hard she applies herself at Potions, she'll always fail to meet anything but 'passable'. She has a catty side which allows her to fit in with the other Slytherin girls, though, she isn't too fond of gossip; she'll certainly listen to it when she has nothing better to do with her time.
Character Flaws:
+ Sensitive
+ Easily offended
+ Stubborn
+ Too co-dependent
+ Too gossipy and catty
+She lurks in Pansy's shadow even when she knows the girl is wrong
+ Too opinionated
+ Speaks her mind a bit too much

[Taken from an old now dead site, as the character Sagitta Lestrange]
Sagitta sighed softly, she knew that her aunt Narcissa hadn't been doing too terribly well lately. Mostly because of Cissa's husband and her uncle Lucius. She sighed softly, running a hand through her dark brown tresses, feeling a bit irritable and stressed. Her family was trying to get her to go shopping with them and Sag was one of those girls who hated shopping. She absolutely loathed going shopping under all pretenses and went only when it was necessary. Though, her family had wealth she was not a material girl, and could usually be found wearing a pair of muggle blue-jeans and a tank-top. But she knew better than going to visit her aunt this way, after all her family all hated mudbloods. Though she did, too, she found that muggle clothes were much more comfortable than wizarding clothes. For that reason and for that reason alone, she had worn muggle clothes around Diagon and Knockturn Alley's, which gained her nasty looks.
Shrugging, she had asked her parents if she could go visit dear 'old' Auntie Cissa since she was not in any mood to go shopping at any rate. They reluctantly had agreed to let her, and so she found herself, trying to decide between a pair of scarlet robes or a pair of dark purple. Both complimented her figure and her hair, so she decided upon the scarlet ones in the end. She knew it might attract attention, but she didn't care. Her motto was that if you didn't love her then you could leave. She waited until her family left before slipping out the door, tapping the door with her wand to lock it. She knew her parents would skin her alive if their precious manor was left unlocked. Sighing softly, she tucked a strand of dark brown hair behind her ear and set off walking.
She soon reached the Malfoy Manor, it was so familiar. The walk to Wiltshire, however, had proven to be a bit long. She always wondered why they lived so far from their dear relatives. Sighing softly, she let a hand run through her hair as she berated herself for her stupidity. Of course, she should have ridden her horse here. It would've been easier and it wouldn't've taken her so long. Oh well, she was here now wasn't she. She only hoped that her aunt wasn't in one of those foul moods. Sagitta squared her shoulders and boldly walked up to the magnificent oak doors and pulled the knocker back four or five times. She scowled lightly when a house-elf answered the door saying that their mistress was busy. "Move pipsqueak," she snapped, kicking the ridiculous creature out of her way without a second thought. She like, her father, hated house-elves and saw them as nothing but nuisances. Also, like her father, she had a good set of lungs on her.
She walked into the Manor and made her way around the winding stairs. She walked up the stairs until she seemed breathless and obnoxiously tired. Shaking her head she walked over to the door which she presumed to be Lucius' and Narcissa's. "Aunt Cissa!" she called out softly, not wanting to be un-ladylike which is exactly what her mother had called her a few times for bellowing like Rodolphus around the house. Shrugging, Sag, brushed it off. So what if she wasn't lady-like all the time. What did she care? Snorting, she smirked, if her mother had just heard her snort she think Bellatrix would've just died. Not that she knew why her mother wanted her to be so lady-like, it wasn't like Bellatrix was, but then again maybe she wanted Sagitta to be more like her dear Aunt Narcissa.
