Appearance:
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: You ought to know better than to ask a girl that.
Eye Color: Dark Brown/Black
Hair: Dark Brown/Black
Body Build: Delicate, but lithe and athletic. Not overly muscular.
Tracey is of a fairly tall height for her age, but is perfectly proportioned for that sort of body. She has the beginnings of stunning beauty in her,
with almond-shaped eyes, high cheekbones, and something of a figure, but she hasn't quite grown into it yet.
Character
History: Tracey was born in the winter of 1980 to Jacob and Maleena Davis, and was their only child. The Davises are a very minor branch on the Pureblood family tree, kind of in the background. Many people would say that this is because they do not actively paricipate in pureblood activities with the other familes, but the real reason is that they simply prefer to keep to themselves and expend their energies on things they think are more important. It is a little known fact that both the Inner Eye and true insanity runs very strong in the Davis family.
As she grew up within the largely mysterious family, she did learn and follow Pureblood manerisms and ettiquite, but it was not a requirement within the Davis household. It was tradition in her family to begin teaching the children about magic when they were very very young, to teach them control, and she learned much about basic magic before she even attended Hogwarts.
Her childhood passed relatively uneventfully, and she was very excited when she got her letter to Hogwarts. Her excitement was soon diminished, however, when she attended her first year classes and discovered that she had already learned much of what they taught. The only thing that rekindled her pleasure at being at Hogwarts, however, was the library, and all the books she could find and read there.
In her fifth year she attracted the attention of Draco Malfoy, largely heralded as the 'Prince of Slytherin', and in their fifth year, she joined the Vipers when it was started, though she was a less prominent member of the group. To her great amusement, she quickly gained prestige and deferance from people who had ignored her completely just the other day. She had always admired Draco from afar, but she had never directly associated herself with him or a group connected with him. She viciously denies that she had a crush on him since second year, but it's true.
That summer, Lucius Mafoy was sent to Azkaban, and the Malfoy family was thrown into shame by the rest of the pureblood families. Tracey went often to Malfoy Manor that summer, attempting to cheer Draco up and keep him company as a friend, which worked to an extent. Her parents told her not to associate herself with him, but she felt that Draco and Narcissa were entirely undeserving of the scorn leveled at them, and so disobeyed.
She isn't quite sure what to think of the events around her, all she knows is that she will be the first person in her family to favor the Dark Lord over simple loyalty to the Davis family.
Personality:
Tracey is a quiet, serious, and somewhat bookish young girl that moves through life with a surity of her actions that few people ever have. Sometimes it seems like she knows everything in advance, the results of her actions, your responses to them, and essentially everything that everybody is going to to before they do it. Some people say that she's a Seer, which may or may not be true (she'll never tell). In truth, some of this ability comes from her watching people, getting to know them when they haven't even looked at her twice.
Tracey appears to be weak and easily bent to another's will, but underneath that jell-o exterior is a core of solid steel and cold, calculating, stubborn witch. Whoever thinks that they have her wrapped around their little finger is mistaken as to her role in that relationship. When she wants something, she will purue it to the bitter end unless a VERY good reason dissuades her.
Tracey is wickedly cunning, setting every battlefield to her advantage before even engaging her enemy. She is a master of tatical planning and verbal fencing, though she prefers to stay out of things unless she is confronted by somebody else or she feels she needs to step in.
Character Flaws:
Tracey's biggest flaw is arrogance. She is smart, and can usually predict the actions of people to a tee, but she doesn't always think about it twice to make sure she is right. If she feels that she is sure, then she won't bother to double check, which has come back to bite her more than a few times. She is aware of this flaw and is attempting to fix it, but it usually gets the better of her.
Sometimes she overthinks things, doing things in a very complicated way when a simple one would have sufficed or done an even better job.
Role Play Sample:
Most people thought that libraries were silent. She knew that this was not true. People talked about their most intimate secrets in the library, where they could have peace and quiet to think and discuss. The perfect atmosphere to lean against a bookshelf, lurk in a corner... and listen. Garner information, which may or may not be useful.
Sometimes it was just a little tidbit, a little rumor, that led her on to something bigger. Sometimes it was the whole thing. Either way, her ears were wide open, waiting for unsuspecting secrets to trickle in.
Gossip was the best. That was how she learned about people, their preferances, their choices, who they liked and didn't. Most of the time it was blown way out of proportion and she had to pick through it, find the truth, but it was usually worth it.
Tracey sat in the center of the library, reclined in a comfortable chair, a large book spread across her lap, eyes skimming the page but absormibg no information. Every so often she turned a page, but as much as she liked to read, that wasn't what she was doing right now. No, right now she was Listening.
